Forest Holder

Forest Holder

Forest died in August 2009 from Multiple Myloma which is a cancer in the bloodstream that affects the bone marrow. After a 9 month fight and multiple hospital visits for chemo and various other treatments we lost Forest.  He was a gallant fighter to the end.

He had a couple of business adventures in Durango, including his own mechanics shop and his last job was assembling tractors for the Kubota dealer in Bayfield, Colorado, where I work also.

He was a very free spirit and lived his life that way enjoying it every chance he got.  We did get to take a couple of cruises the last few years he was alive, before we knew of the cancer.  We Cruised the eastern Caribbean and from Alaska to Seattle, where we took a helicopter ride to view parts of Alaska, which I know was one of the highlights of his life because that lead to two more helicopter rides -- one over our property and one over the Grand Canyon which he had not ever been to before.

Thank you for thinking of him. I'm sure his family would appreciate it and myself as well.
